How to Get VC in NBA 2K27

VC is still the attribute currency in NBA 2K27. The fastest honest pile is the edition you already paid for. Deluxe includes 100,000 VC. Ultra includes 135,000 VC. Pre-order adds 10,000 VC. Those dumps are the bulk of a first MyPLAYER. This wiki does not invent a single max-out total because height, wingspan, and attribute caps change the bill. After the dump, you grind. You do not buy a “generator,” you do not run a glitch Discord, and you do not type locker codes from a random screenshot.

Use this page as the money map. Pair it with editions if you have not bought a SKU yet, 2KTV answers for the free episode payout, Twitch Drops for live 2XP coins and packs, locker codes for anything 2K actually posts, the VC grind planner for a weekly loop, and Season 1 for the Pro Pass ladder.

Edition VC is the first build

Standard is $69.99 and does not include a six-figure dump. Deluxe is $99.99 for 100,000 VC plus Early Access that began August 26, 2026. Ultra is $149.99 for 135,000 VC, Season 1 Pro Pass, and Summer Pass seasons 7–9, and Ultra is sold through September 6, 2026. 2K26 Ultra loyalty was 10 percent off through September 3, 2026; that window is closed.

If your plan is one Rec card and a City life, Deluxe’s 100,000 is the usual answer. If you also want the Season 1 Pro Pass baked in and the extra 35,000 VC, Ultra is the SKU, not a flex. Switch 2 is Standard only, so Switch players should be cruel about the first body and should live on 2KTV, MyCAREER, and Season XP.

Spend the dump after the builder’s 99 overall cap-breaker preview, not before. A rebuild is the most expensive VC sink in the game.

Season 1 ladder and Pro Pass

Season 1’s paid track can add up to 45,000 VC across the ladder. That is the second-largest honest pile after the edition dump, and it arrives over weeks, not in one menu. Ultra includes Season 1 Pro Pass; Deluxe and Standard buy it separately if they want that track. Do not count 45,000 as cash you have on night one.

Play the modes you will repeat. Rec, Theater, Casual Corner (until you outgrow it), Street Kings, Starting 5, Daily Rivals, and MyCAREER games all feed Season XP. Patch 1.3 tuned Crew XP and REP earn rates, so crew grinding is less of a dead end than it was in the first days of Early Access, but it is still not a VC printer.

2KTV, locker codes, and the HQ habit

2KTV is the cleanest free VC. Questions pay about 200 VC each. Episode 1 is about 2,400 if you hit the set. Keep 2KTV answers open while the episode plays. Watch the full question; skipping around can miss the payout window.

Locker codes are not a secret menu of infinite VC. This wiki does not invent codes. If 2K posts a public one, it will live on locker codes with a redeem path. Until then, assume zero public strings. Twitch Drops are live through September 22, 2026 and pay 2XP coins plus packs, not VC. Anyone selling a “working list” on launch week is guessing or phishing.

NBA 2K HQ has been live since August 21, 2026. It does not print VC. It stops you from wasting VC. Build there, then spend on console.

MyCAREER, The City, and dailies

MyCAREER games pay VC and still matter for Gatorade and skill boosts if your edition included them. Fire & Concrete and Eras are not only story; they are repeatable game checks. A 12-minute career quarter on a card you already own is honest income. A disconnect during co-op no longer bricks the story after patch 1.3, so you can invite a Running Mate without treating every session as a risk to the chapter.

The City pays through completed games, Daily Rivals, Starting 5 boards, Player Medals (about 300 of them), and REP. Casual Corner still pays until you outgrow it; after that, VC, Season XP, REP, and badge progress move to Rec, Theater, and the rest of the neighborhood. Ante-Up is a rooftop wager mode, not a budget plan. Do not ante what you cannot rebuild.

Daily rewards and login streaks are small and they add up only if you actually collect them. Put them on the same loop as 2KTV.

What is not a VC method

Fake generators, browser “unlockers,” shared accounts, and paid code lists are scams. Menu glitches that dump VC get you banned and do not belong in a guide. Player-to-player VC sellers are against 2K’s terms and routinely steal accounts. This page will not describe them, link them, or hint at a “safe” version.

Do not spend VC on clothing before attributes. Do not buy a second MyPLAYER because a streamer’s Signature Blueprint looked cooler. Do not treat Ultra’s 135,000 as a reason to main three builds in week one. One 99 with a greenable jumper is cheaper than three 85s.

A weekly loop that does not feel like a job

1. Collect dailies and any real locker code that posted.
2. Run the current 2KTV episode with the answers page open.
3. Play two MyCAREER games if you still need Gatorade value or story chapters.
4. Play City modes you already like: Rec if the jumper is ready, Casual Corner if it is not, Street Kings if you have two friends.
5. Check Season 1 for a VC level you are close to, then stop.

Use the VC grind planner to keep that loop from turning into a spreadsheet cult. The worldwide launch date is September 4, 2026; Standard owners who wait for it should still run this same loop. Early Access players who already dumped Deluxe or Ultra VC should not “catch up” with a seller. They should play.

Ignore sellers and glitch clips; the edition dump plus 2KTV is the honest path. Deluxe 100,000 and Ultra 135,000 are the bulk of a first NBA 2K27 build, Season 1’s Pro Pass can add up to 45,000 over the ladder, and Episode 1 of 2KTV is about 2,400 if you actually answer. Everything else is MyCAREER, City, and not rebuilding. If a site promises a generator, close it. If a friend has a “method,” ask whether it is 2KTV. If it is not 2KTV, editions, Season 1, or a posted locker code, it is not a method. Spend after the builder preview, then grind the loop you will still tolerate in November.
